About Film Exchange
WHAT IS THE FILM EXCHANGE (TFX)?
TFX is a web based subscription service for broadcast stations similar to today’s highly popular online DVD subscription services. As a subscriber to TFX, stations will have access to the TFX web site from which they can:
- Browse TFX’s wide selection of motion pictures,
- Order a film; and
- Have that film delivered formatted for time, closed captioned in as little as seven days.
HOW DOES THE FILM EXCHANGE WORK?
Stations pay an annual subscription fee that will allow them to select, on a market-by-market basis, titles from an unprecedented list of over 1,000 motion pictures.
- The subscription fee entitles stations to order as many as ten films per subscription term to air anywhere on the station’s schedule. This will include the right to air the films on the station’s new digital channels.
- Additional titles can be ordered at a reduced rate on a per-title rental fee during the subscription term.
- For each film selected, stations will receive a market exclusive 30-day window with a 30-day post black.
- All titles will be broadcast ready, closed captioned and formatted for time. Many titles will also be available in HD
WHAT MAKES TFX UNIQUE?
Unlike the traditional syndication model, with TFX, stations will
- NO LONGER have to commit to large multi-year, multi-run packages;
- NO LONGER have to find time periods for contractual reruns.
- NO LONGER have to spend endless hours tracking and maintaining Inventory or having to spin make-good Barter spots; and
- NO LONGER have your station’s schedule be subject to endless, multiple-window availabilities.
TFX gives you, for the first time ever, a way to monetize high quality, high profile films on terms that suit both your bottom line and your individual station needs.
